60 HRAI Members Volunteering Their Time & Insight to Help Shape HVACR Industry Priorities

Over the past few months, HRAI has be working with members across Canada to understand what matters to their organizations. These consultations with members took place in survey format and focus groups in the month of October, ending with a strategic priorities review session on October 28th, 2021.

On the 28th, HRAI Staff met with HRAI contractors, wholesalers and manufacturing members from across Canada.  The group dove into topics such as workforce development, and the HVACR industry role in climate change mandates.  The group also discussed personal experiences in their businesses, and how these experiences relate to the complete Canadian HVACR supply chain.  Participants also expressed their issues surrounding new technology training for seasoned trades people, finding skilled trades people, and how to be at the table with government on policies and regulation changes affecting the HVACR industry.

This was HRAI’s first face-to-face meeting with members since the start of the pandemic.  We were so happy to see members being represented across Canada during the consultations and at the October 28th meeting.

The HRAI Staff will now be reviewing the comments and ideas put forth.  In the coming months, watch for new developments on key areas the association will be honing in on from feedback from the industry.

Sessions like this do not happen without the help of the HRAI membership volunteering.  There are a few new committees and task teams on the cusp of creation.  If you are interested please contact Loretta Zita, Director of Marketing and Communications, lzita@hrai.ca
