HRAI 53rd Annual General Meeting, Thanks to the Support of HRAI Members
On September 23rd, 2021, HRAI held its 53rd Annual General Meeting completely in a virtual format again this year. We had a great turn-out this year.
The Chair’s Annual Report Video, from outgoing Chair Rob Flipse, spoke to highlights from the past year including exceeding financial goals, bolstering the HRAI GR team, and shooting the lights out with HRAI’s virtual training. Rob welcomed Scott McDonald, from Johnson Controls L.P., as the new Chair of HRAI.
Also on the agenda this year was Phillippe Dunsky of Dunsky Energy and Climate Advisors and Huw Williams of Impact Public Affairs. Phillippe took members through the Canadian Electrification Plans and how important heat pump technology is to reaching climate action goals. Huw, brought members up to speed on what to expect over the coming months with parliament, and what opportunities and challenges the HVACR industry could be facing.
Martin Luymes, VP of Government & Stakeholder Relations, gave members a bird’s eye view of the past year’s GR activities and what the industry can look forward to in the coming year. Frank Diecidue, Director of Financial Operations for HRAI took members through the balance sheet ending June 021 which ended in an astonishing surplus for HRAI.
All Divisional AGMs were recorded and can be found here:
